Another trip to Silver Dollar City for the 2012 Barbeque and Bluegrass festival.  What a great combination. Our third invitation. Twelve shows, three days.  It's hot.  The days are long.  We are "sung out".  But we are lovin' it!!

Thanks to all of you, long-time fans and new, who stopped and said "Hi."

The Hootin' Annies are a group of 5 women with varied musical backgrounds. They got to know each other at various Bluegrass clubs, and by a chance meeting in an elevator at Hallmark Cards, where 4 of the 5 were employed.

Together, they have been performing since 2003 at Bluegrass festivals, Bluegrass clubs, private parties, and have headlined the Rural Grit Happy Hour at the legendary Kansas City Blues club, The Grand Emporium, as well as Kansas City's Monday Home of Bluegrass, The Brick.
And now, Silver Dollar City.
